WORK & TRAVEL
The Work & Travel USA program allows students and talented youth to visit the USA while working in hotels, restaurants, theme parks and other seasonal businesses, gaining professional experience, improving English language skills and building new friendships, through a 3-4 month program during the summer holidays.
Conditions:
Must be university students and have active status.
Be 18 - 30 years old
Good English language skills.
Be committed to participating in the program for 2-3 months.
Be available to work during the June-September period.

To apply for the Work and Travel USA program, you will typically need:
Passport: A valid passport that won’t expire for at least six months after your program ends.
Proof of Enrollment: A document from your university confirming that you are a full-time student, as this program is generally for university students.

Participants in the Work and Travel USA program can typically stay in the U.S. for the duration of their work contract, which can last up to 4 months during their university summer break. Additionally, you are allowed a 30-day grace period before or after your work period to travel within the U.S. (referred to as the "travel period"). However, the specifics depend on your visa terms and your sponsor’s guidelines, so it’s important to check with ISA beforehand.

Changing jobs is not encouraged unless there is a significant issue with your original employer, such as unsafe working conditions. If you feel the need to change jobs, you must get approval from your program sponsor before making any changes. Unauthorized job changes could affect your J-1 visa status.
